Weighing In-Motion

Save time with the low speed, in-motion vehicle scale system; Simply drive across the scale and the job's done. The system utilizes an industrial hardened micro-computer for analyzing scale data to provide fast, accurate processing of weight data. Ideal for transport monitoring, dynamic axle weighing and traffic data tabulation.

Depending on your application for weigh in motion, we currently have 2 different weight sensors that can be used. If you need a portable system that can fit in the back of a 1/2 ton truck, the Ultra Slim Weigh Pads are the way to go. For a more permanent setup, you could choose 144" x 30" x 6" heavy duty weighpads.

Designed specifically for a portable weigh in motion system, these pads stand only .7" tall. The are fabricated from high strength aluminum and have a capacity of up to 40,000 lbs per pad. Each pad has a flexible, durable, and water tight 'flying lead' quick disconnect to make setup and take down hassle free.

The Ultra Slim Weigh Pads can be used with or without leveling approach tracks. For better accuracy, it is recommended that the approach tracks are used. 10 meters of leveling track is recommended on each end of weighpad for a total of 40 meters. Below is a sample of the track. Each piece spans 1 meter in length, and ensures that the vehicle stays level during the weighing process. The ramps are made from a high compression strength composite plastic/rubber material. They are cut out in a puzzle shape that makes them easy to setup and takedown, while providing a excellent lock together joint. Tapered ramps for the ends provide a smooth transition from the road surface to the elevated runway. A shallow pit in concrete can also be used, eliminating the need for the leveling track.
